Aleppo

We arrived in Aleppo on the night of 01 October. We are staying with Salvatore and Stefania. Salvatore is known as Nonno  Gelato because of his pushing of icecream on to innocent boys and their adults. They rent an apartment (see above). We went off to the famous Aleppo souk the first day, past the butchers etc. Much business is done anywhere.

Mint and lemon juice + turkish coffee = :)

Old Turkish closed balconies.

The Aleppo Citadel in the background. More of this later.

The traffic lights count down how long until they change.

Fresh pistachios: peel the skin off, crack the shell and eat the seed: yum
